Founder & Visionary Guide of Somatic Therapy Partners
I offer a transformational process, called 2 Week Re-Bonding, that sits at the rare and powerful crossroads of somatic therapy, spiritual exploration, and psychedelic-informed healing. My approach is designed to help high-functioning individuals reconnect to their bodies, rewire survival-based patterns, and open up to a deeper, more expansive version of themselves.
In just 14 days, clients experience accelerated breakthroughs—gaining access to long-buried memories, softening lifelong defenses, and stepping into a renewed sense of vitality and purpose. This isn’t about endless processing. It’s about re-bonding—with your authentic self, with others, and with the life you’re meant to live.
My work honors the psycho-spiritual dimension of healing while operating within ethical and legal boundaries. I bring advanced training and lived experience in integrating non-ordinary states of consciousness into a grounded, embodied therapeutic framework.
This is trauma resolution for the whole self: mind, body, and spirit. Because healing isn’t just about understanding your past—it’s about reclaiming your future.
A Somatic Therapist for the Soulful and Stuck
I’m a body-based therapist devoted to helping people heal the invisible wounds left by early trauma. Whether it’s emotional neglect, chronic fear, or simply the ache of never feeling truly safe in your body—I’ve been there. And I’ve spent over two decades guiding others home to themselves.
My work integrates nervous system science, therapeutic touch, sacred ceremony, and the wisdom that only lived experience can offer. I believe in transformation that is not just mental or emotional but also spiritual and cellular.
From Mountain Trails to Inner Landscapes
Noticing that 10-year gap between my undergrad and grad school? I spent it traveling the world, sleeping under the stars, and teaching mountaineering for Outward Bound in Colorado, California, and South Africa. I bartended, ski-bummed, and lived wild and close to the Earth. Those years forged the foundation of who I am—courageous, resourceful, attuned to the elements, and deeply committed to service.
Working with inner-city youth and traumatized teens in South Africa ignited a desire to support emotional healing in an even deeper way. So I returned to school, ready to walk with others through their most difficult terrain.

The Path to Going Pro
My early years as a clinician took me from working with survivors of domestic violence to supporting clients with severe mental illness and later to specializing in eating disorders. I was struck by how traditional “top-down” methods failed to create real change. Something vital was missing: the body.
That insight led me to Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing® training in 2007. Everything shifted. Suddenly, therapy was alive—attuned, responsive, embodied. I had found the missing link. And I wanted more.
Healing the Earliest Wounds
The real transformation came when I began healing my own story of early trauma.
As the eldest daughter of Filipino immigrants raised in a household shaped by control, rage, and silence, I grew up emotionally neglected and afraid. For years, I carried those wounds like invisible weights. But then I discovered a therapeutic touch course designed to help folks heal from early trauma called Somatic Resilience and Regulation, and everything made sense. I saw myself—my pain, my patterns, my stuckness—reflected in the teachings. It was both heartbreaking and liberating.
That training, and the co-regulating touch practices it birthed, changed everything. Personally. Professionally. Spiritually.
Now, I use Co-Regulating Touch as my primary modality. It’s how I support my clients in dropping out of survival mode and into something more powerful: more access to joy, embodied safety, and self-trust.

Rebonding After the Journey
For over two decades, psychedelics have been an essential part of my personal healing path. I’ve worked with ayahuasca, psilocybin, 5 MEO-DMT, and MDMA, primarily in ceremonial settings that honor the sacred intelligence of these medicines. These experiences—often intense, otherworldly, and profoundly humbling—have expanded my capacity for compassion, deepened my spiritual connection, and radically transformed how I hold space for others.
Professionally, I’ve been trained and certified to offer psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and integration support. The clients drawn to this work are often high-functioning seekers who’ve tried it all: years of talk therapy, spiritual practices, plant medicine ceremonies, coaching, retreats… and still feel emotionally stuck. They’ve touched the truth of who they are in a non-ordinary state, but returning to daily life feels disorienting, disconnected, or even destabilizing. That’s where 2-Week Re-Bonding comes in.
This immersive process is designed to anchor the insights from your psychedelic experiences into your nervous system and lived reality—so they don’t just remain beautiful visions but become embodied truths.
Through a combination of somatic therapy, co-regulating touch, spiritual attunement, and somatic integration, we create a space where you can soften lifelong defenses, release survival-based patterns, and truly return to yourself. Rebonding isn’t about endless processing. It’s about embodying the transformation you touched in the journey and finally living from a place of joy, flow, and intention.
When I’m Not “Therapizing”
You’ll find me in the mountains with my beloved family, reveling in nature and chasing joy with my favorite humans. I’ve got a thing for dope sneakers and dance floors. I also geek out on nervous system science, healing modalities, and spiritual expansion.
At the heart of it all, I’m a soul on fire for embodied transformation. I believe healing trauma changes not just individuals, but the collective. When you heal, you become more generous, more connected, and more attuned to the Divine.
That’s why I do this work. Because healing isn’t just relief—it’s reclamation.
Let’s Begin
Whether you’re here to explore Co-Regulating Touch, deepen your somatic journey, or are curious about psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and 2-Week Re-Bonding, I’m honored to walk beside you.
Healing is possible. Joy is your birthright. She’s waiting for you to re-bond with her!

Healing the Shame That Splits Us with Isaac Archuleta
What if the very thing you were taught to hate about yourself became your greatest gift to the world?
In this deeply moving conversation, Maira sits down with queer therapist and founder of I Am Clinic, Isaac Archuleta, who shares his journey from growing up as the son of conservative ministers—steeped in toxic and traumatic shame—to reclaiming his body, his desires, and his inherent value. Isaac opens up about the moment his healing began, how shame became trauma in his nervous system, and the powerful tools that helped him integrate his identity, heal developmental wounds, and transform suffering into service.
Together, Maira and Isaac explore how mindfulness, somatic therapy, inferential CBT, relational repair, and psychedelic-assisted therapy can reconnect us to our bodies and restore a felt sense of safety, dignity, and self-trust.
In this episode, you’ll hear about:
- The difference between everyday shame and traumatic shame—and how it hijacks the nervous system
- Why authenticity is the lived experience of inherent value, not just a mindset
- How somatic healing, titration, and relational repair can turn a “torture chamber” body into heaven on earth
If you’ve ever felt split inside, disconnected from your body, or unworthy of love, this episode is an invitation to remember who you are—and to discover what becomes possible when shame is no longer in the driver’s seat.
This podcast wasn’t always called Healing For Grown Ass Adults. A year and a half ago, when I started recording and preparing this podcast, it was called Life Mystic. As you listen to this episode, know that I was going through the process of figuring out how to be me in an expression different from my role as a somatic therapist and psychedelic medicine practitioner. I invite you to listen to this conversation with an open mind and an understanding that we are all always in process.
